Sr. Girls Soccer Championship Rules


  1. No teams may dress more than 20 players for each game. All teams are guaranteed 5 games.

  2. Games will consist of two 30 minute halves except for the finals and the 3rd and 4th place game. These two games will be 40 minute halves.

  3. There is no overtime in Round Robin games. It is 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss. If the teams are tied at the end of the game in round robin play, the two teams will immediately go into shootouts. This will be used as a tiebreaker in the case that all other tiebreakers fail.

  4. In the third day of play, there will be overtime to determine the winner. Overtime will be two 7 ½ minute halves. "Golden Goal" will be used. If the score remains tied after the two halves, then penalty kicks will be taken according to FIFA rules.

  5. In the event that teams are tied after the round robin, the following criteria will be used in the following order to determine which team is seeded higher. You will use this criterion starting with #1.

        1. The winner of the head to head match

        2. The team with the most wins

        3. The team with the most goals for

        4. The team with the best goals for/goals against record.

        5. The team with the win in the head to head shootout


  1. All coaches are to submit a team roster at the beginning of each game with the name and number of each player listed. Any discrepancies in the roster will be brought to the attention of the disciplinary committee and a decision will be made if any disciplinary action is needed.

  2. The referee will validate all scores. All on field decision of the referee are final. All other rule violations should be brought to the attention of the tournament coordinator.

  3. Yellow Cards - Any player receiving two yellow cards during the tournament must sit out the following game. A third yellow card will result in a the player being automatically suspended from further participation in the tournament.

  4. Red Cards - Any player receiving an automatic red card is suspended from further participation in the tournament. If a player receives a red card due to two yellow cards in one game, the player must sit out two games. A third yellow or second red card will lead the player to automatic suspension from further participation in the tournament.

  5. Disputing violations - If you wish to dispute a violation against you, your team or one of your players, it must be in writing and received by the coordinator no later than 1 hour after the game that the violation occurred in. The person(s) involved will be given time to plead their case in front of a disciplinary committee. Until the hearing is occurs, the disciplinary action still stands in effect. The decision made by the disciplinary committee after hearing the case is final. If the disciplinary action still stands, the violation cannot be re-disputed.
